World of Warcraft Classic players have been dealing with a scourge upon Azeroth. It's not the Lich King or Deathwing showing up to decimate: it's a bunch of angry PVP campers. The latest update to the vanilla version of the MMO introduced the Honor System that gives points to players that kill members of the opposing faction. On paper, it doesn't sound like that would change that much of the gaming experience, but, with the amount of players currently on one server, it's devolved into a virtual blood bath.

Honor is given to members of the opposite faction who slay an enemy that's 10 levels higher or lower than themselves. Because the levels between 50 and 60 take the most time to grind towards, some max-level players have been camping the zones of their lower-level counterparts to farm Honor. Killing a civilian in a town of the opposite faction counts as a dishonorable kill and will cause you to lose points.

Reddit user LetMeSpoilThisForU has come up with a unique way to curb Honor farming by leveraging a very obscure quest. "Are We There, Yeti?" can be started by heading to Winterspring in Kalimdor and finding Umi in the town. You need to scare Legacki in Everlook and Sprinkle in Gadgetzan and Quixxil in Marshal's Refuge for the quest to be completed. Umi grants you an item that summons a level one Mechanical Yeti with 10 charges. This WoW Classic quest provides players with a mechanical yeti that is to be used on NPCs in the three aforementioned locations, and it can be activated 10 times before a player is forced to reset the quest and obtain another one. This mechanical yeti spawns at Level 1, and it is both hostile to the enemy faction and is a civilian. This means that the yeti will grant anyone that accidentally kills it with a dishonorable kill, and such a threat could just be enough to convince some campers to reconsider their PvP strategy.

All of this, of course, is confined to PvP servers for players who opted into that riskier ruleset from the outset."
